Central Events

By attending any of Caravan’s national fund raising events, you are not only supporting a very worthwhile cause, you are also boosting your chances of gaining an Achievement Award. It is also a great opportunity to net work and meet up with industry associates and old friends.

The sporting–themed Annual Luncheon held every November is always a sell out, and is a great way to meet up with colleagues, both old and new. There’s also a good chance you’ll get to rub shoulders with any number of your sporting heroes from the worlds of football, rugby, golf, cricket or athletics, to name a few. Another long-standing must-attend event in the grocery calendar is the perennially popular Annual Diamond Ball, a black tie dinner and dance held in a top London hotel.

The Windermere Row, meanwhile, is held each May and is a great opportunity for those of an athletic bent to show what they’re made of. Teams compete to row around Lake Windermere in the fastest possible time and it’s a great day out for the whole family, culminating in a dinner with music and dancing in the evening. There are two new additions to the Caravan event calendar this year; the Sailing Challenge at Cowes –a perfect team building event and the London to Paris Cycle Ride for the fitter amongst you!

These events offer new and different ways to support the charity. To work towards a gold Achievement Award in the Central Events category, you will need to provide major sponsorship for at least two of the events, and take a table or enter a team at any other.
