Award Definitions

The Caravan Achievement Awards are quite simply an exciting new awards initiative that has been launched to encourage companies to support the grocery industry charity and for the first time provide Caravan with a means of publicly thanking and rewarding companies for the enormous support they provide.

All businesses within the grocery sector, from the largest multiple to the smallest supplier are encouraged to participate; not only will Caravan, your industry charity benefit from the additional help, but your company will also receive public recognition for your efforts. You can choose the level of support you want to commit given the resources available to you, and work towards an Award – Bronze, Silver or Gold, which acknowledge differing levels of commitment.

The Achievement Awards offers entrants the chance to win Gold, Silver and Bronze awards or a Supporter's Certificate.

This is how you can qualify:

Gold Award

This recognises an outstanding commitment to Caravan, and its work in helping former grocery industry workers who have fallen on hard times. A Gold winner will have helped to pioneer the work of the charity and be proactive in working with Caravan to eradicate future hardship.

Silver Award

This award recognises substantial support for the charity in several of the key criteria. A Silver award winner will have assisted the charity with its day to day operations and helped to define its future strategy.

Bronze Award

A Bronze award will be given to companies who have recognised Caravan’s work and have helped the charity in supporting former colleagues.

Caravan Supporters Certificate

A framed Certificate of Thanks will be awarded to companies who have not quite managed to reach Bronze.
