The grocery industry is amongst the most generous of benefactors when it comes to giving to charity.

Red Nose Day and the British Red Cross are just two high profile charities to have benefited enormously from the munificence of the sector in recent years.

But if you could donate just a proportion of that money earmarked for charity and good causes every year to Caravan – which is, after all the charity for all partners in the grocery industry, not only would the fund and its beneficiaries benefit, it’s also another way of winning an Achievement Award which would formally acknowledge the generosity of your company.

So when you are allocating your charitable budget please don’t forget about Caravan; if you were to allocate even a small percentage of every £100 that you donate to the grocery industry charity, our fund would benefit enormously. And for those benefactors who are long-standing supporters of the charity please consider inflation-proofing your donations by increasing your financial contribution just a bit every year.

JustGiving is a website which makes it extremely easy and efficient to donate. Gift Aid is another great way for individuals to donate, as for every pound that you give, Caravan receives an additional 28 pence from the Inland Revenue.

It costs Caravan around £1250 a year to support each beneficiary, so a £50,000 donation which would support 40 beneficiaries a year would put you on track for one of our Gold Awards. But supporting any number of beneficiaries will help Caravan as it strives to help your former colleagues who are in need of a helping hand.
