A New Event for Caravan
The weather held fair as 100 sharp-shooters from the industry met at the E.J. Churchill shooting grounds in High Wycombe for the inaugural Tesco Caravan Clay Pigeon Shoot.
25 teams took part and raised a staggering £80,000 for the charity!!
Following the team briefings (and the consumption of hundreds of bacon rolls) guests donned safety glasses and obligatory baseball caps and headed for the first of the 12 various stands to try their hand at clay, grouse and rabbit. The shooting grounds (voted the best in the UK in 2007) are set in over 5000 acres of parklands and offers over 100 different English Sporting stands, 4 one hundred foot high towers, traditional stone grouse butts and six man flurry line.
Prize Giving, held after a delicious three course luncheon, saw Carters Construction scoop the team award and Caravan take the biggest prize of all –a cheque for £80,000 presented to Gillian Barker, Caravan Director General by Caravan Patron and Chairman of Tesco , David Reid.
