KAVLI WIN THE CARAVAN NATIONAL 5-A-SIDE
The 5th Caravan National 5-a-side tournament, sponsored by Warburtons, took place on Saturday 5th July 2008.
39 teams competed to win the title but Kavli’s Primula team came away victorious after winning 4-3 in penalties against a strong team from Greencore’s Selby branch.The winners were presented with their trophies and £3500 worth of Amazon vouchers which were kindly donated by Tetley GB.
A Plate competition was also run for those who did not qualify for the Cup and after a strong battle, Ingredient Solutions beat Aldi 3-2 in another penalty shoot out.
There was also a guest appearance from Dean Saunders, former International player for Wales and Alan McInally, Sky Sports pundit and former player, who were there to support the Gaymer team.
