The Thames Valley Regional Branch of Caravan held its 11th general knowledge Quiz Night on Friday 25th March 2011. Our thanks go to Waitrose for once again kindly providing the use of the The Sir Bernard Miller Centre, Cookham - which has become the natural home for this event. All attending unanimously hailed this year’s event as the most successful 'Quiz' to date. The evening was a sell out with a record £19,500 raised for Caravan!
The annual Quiz Night has become an integral and fun date on the Caravan Thames Valley calendar of events (other events include the Golf Day in September and the Ball in October). The quiz gave the chance for 19 teams from Waitrose and it's suppliers to pit their wits against each other. This year's champions are 'Meat & No Veg' from the supplier Dalehead, who walked away with the magnificent trophy. Each team member also received £25 of John Lewis gift vouchers and a bottle of Champagne.
Amanda Dance, lead organiser on the Caravan Quiz committee commented; "I am delighted with how much fun the evening has been for everyone and, as always, was made possible due to great teamwork. The staff at the Sir Bernard Miller Centre excelled themselves with the high quality of their service and food. Our MC for the evening, Richard Keys, was as excellent as ever, and I would also like to thank the committee who worked so hard in their own time to make this event happen. But most importantly I would like to thank all those who turned up to support their industry charity."
