President's Carol Concert 2011

President's Carol Concert 2011On Thursday 15th December more than 400 people gathered at the stunning St Luke’s Church in Chelsea for an evening of Christmas carols and readings.

Guests were entertained by a wonderful professional choir and by a variety of Christmas readings from Simon Baldry (Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd), Peter Harding (GlaxoSmithKline), Peter Marks (The Co-operative Group), Lucy Neville-Rolfe (Tesco PLC) and James Simmons (Unilever UK & Ireland). Carols were sung and the festive spirit was evident!

Following the concert, a champagne and canapé reception was held at the nearby Chelsea Gardener. Our thanks go to Pernod Ricard for the champagne and Diageo GB for the Pimms Winter.

Caravan would also like to thank the major carol concert sponsor, Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd and the other sponsors; GlaxoSmithKline for the reception, Unilever for the music, The Co-operative Group for the lighting, Adams Foods for the choir and Procter & Gamble for the flowers.

Approximately £30,000 was raised, which will enable us to look after more than 28 of our 2,000 beneficiaries over the coming year. Many thanks to all those who attended and supported the event.

Please join us all again next year on Wednesday 19th December 2012.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all at Caravan!
