Affected by the Riots?

Photo courtesy of janismama (SXC)If you have been affected by the recent unrest then the Caravan Welfare Helpline is there to help you. The freephone helpline focuses on personal welfare problems arising at work, as well as at home. It is open to all who work in the grocery industry, from the factory to the shop floor, ranging from independent stores to multinationals.

The dedicated Helpline (08088 02 11 22) is available 24/7 and also features a comprehensive range of online help.

Caravan can help; by talking your situation through with one of our advisors via phone or email or using our online factsheets. For people who prefer not to ask for help, or may never pick up a phone to get support, there is a web-based range of self-help tools and advice, including online chat.

There is also a telephone counselling service for people who have experienced incidents which are harmful, threatening or challenging. Callers will be asked to briefly recount, but not relive, the incident with trained counsellors, who will be able to talk through ways of coping with the situation and help them to deal with any related emotional issues.
