Kathryn Amey, Caravan Events & Communications Co-ordinator took to the skies with two friends on the 11^th August and jumped out of a perfectly serviceable plane to raise money for the charity!

The sky dive took place at Langar airfield in Nottinghamshire early on Monday morning, luckily the weather held out and apart from a bit of cloud, the conditions were perfect. The threesome hopped into the tiny plane and climbed to 14,000ft where Jim Bradwell from the Midlands branch of Caravan and a veteran skydiver, joined the trio with his video camera. Kathryn’s instructor had performed over 15,000 jumps so she felt quite safe waiting to fall from the plane……!

Kathryn said ‘I felt pretty safe but it was a nerve-racking experience –great fun though and one that I would definitely recommend! The adrenaline rush when you jump out of the plane is immense and left me feeling extremely exhausted for the rest of the day. I’d like to give a great big thank you to everyone who has supported me.’
